Welcome to Warrendale Veterinary Care Centre

At Warrendale we take pride in being a family run business caring for the
needs of clients and their pets in the community. Providing a friendly,
efficient, professional service sets the standard offered to all clients with
the health and welfare of all pets taking priority.
Based in Knypersley we care for clients across Stoke on Trent to Newcastle
under Lyme as well as Congleton, Cheshire. At Warrendale we carry out a variety
of procedures from routine neutering such as dog, cat and rabbit speys and
castrations to more complex orthopaedic surgery. The practice is well equipped
with modern x-ray equipment, an ultrasound machine as well as laboratory
equipment which allow blood samples to be taken, tested and the results
received within 15 minutes of the sample being drawn. We have the services of
two specialist surgeons, Mike Holgate a Cardiologist and Andrew Whittingham a
Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic surgeon who visit the practice when required. These
surgeons are highly qualified and specialists in their field therefore are able
to carry out procedures and operations many general practice vets would not do.
Many other practices would refer you and your pet to a local referral centre
for these consultations and investigations to be carried out where as we offer
the facility here in practice. This reduces stress for both you and your pet.
The nursing team feel it is important to work alongside you and your pet
therefore we offer a range of development health consultations at the age of 4,
6 and 9 months of age along with a 6 monthly consultation between your pets'
yearly boosters. This gives you the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may
have or to have a general chat about the health of your pet along with
nutrition, neutering and behaviour. These consultations are free of charge and
are booked as appointments for your convenience. The nursing team also offer
post operative health checks, obesity clinics, pre neutering health checks,
worm and flea consultations, senior clinics and behaviour consultations. These
are offered to assist clients in caring for their pets.
As a small animal practice, we deal with most domestic and companion animal
from dogs and cats to guinea pigs, birds and rats. We also offer an exotics
service for clients with snakes, lizards and tortoises. We aim to offer an all
round service from consultations to investigations as well as everyday
requirements from advice on feeding and diets to behaviour, neutering and
preventative healthcare for your pet. We can supply a wide range of dog, cat
and rabbit diets, leads, collars and harnesses at competitive prices as well as
having your order in practice for collection usually within 24-48 hours of an
order being placed.* We have an online order form for your convenience and will
send a confirmation email when your item has been ordered.
We appreciate feedback from all our clients on all areas of our service.
Please feel free to contact us via email, telephone or letter if you have any
comments you would like to pass on or feel there is a service you would like to
see in practice.
Thinking of taking your pet on holiday?
At Warrendale we take the stress out of taking your pet abroad. As a practice
experienced in the EU Pet Passport Scheme as well as pet exports we offer a
free half hour consultation to discuss passport or export procedures. When
moving abroad with your pet we can recommend shipping and crate companies who
can transport your pet from home to the airport and who will make arrangements
for your pet on the arrival in another country. As you will have one dedicated
member of the team in practice to deal with your passport or export, you will
have a set plan of when blood/ faecal samples need to be tested as well as when
your pet needs to be transported to the airport/ ferry to comply with
regulations. We can provide contacts of English speaking vets in Europe which
makes life easier when having your pet's final health check abroad before
returning to the UK and always ensure you are equipped for unforeseen
circumstances such as the loss of your pet's documents! Call the practice to
discuss travelling with your pet and always make sure you plan ahead when
applying for the EU Pets Passport!
